If I were a naughty Smurfette for a day...

Hmm,

I can't imagine such a sweet Smurfette would be naughty. I CAN'T.

If I were given chance to be a Smurfette, I would but being a naughty one, I would prefer all my actions benefits me first...hehe(evil laugh).

So, from the sweet and innocent Smurfette which looks like this:

I guess she will look like this:

Ok back to the story, If I were naughty Smurfette for a day, I will...

Sneak into a girl's closet and steal all the prettiest dress...i prefer Kate Middleton's. Hehehe.. i
might use some magic to shrink them into small dresses... I can replace my white dress...and style them all!!!

Then, I would use magic to turn some girls into Smurfs, being with the male all the time is so boring....

Then, I would come up with Smurfette's Kingdom...hehehe.

Uhhh...that's the naughty Smurfette I can imagine.

I am waiting eagerly for Smurfs 2... Smurfs 1 impressed me in so many ways and I live Smurfette and Clumsy. I read the synopsis and articles about Smurfs 2, where Smurfette will be used to turn Naughties into Smurfs.

I think Smurfette will stay true to her colour and stay true for her love to the Smurfs. After all, she belongs there.

I guess Smurfs 2 will be emotional and funny at the same time, can't wait.

Rasam & Potato Pachadi

Hello,

I cooked. Well, I do cook sometimes but it will be always the same dish. For example; egg sambal, anchioves sambal, sardine, and Yeo's Chicken Curry. It is the easiest and the most simple dish ever, at least for me.

But each time Viknes ask me what I cook, if I tell one of the dish above, he will tell you do't know to cook other dish is it??? I feel challenged, really.

So, I start searching for good recipes online and also read the recipe book that I always buy. I also have a treasured recipe book where I will cut and paste recipes from newspapers and magazines, not to forget recipes from some favourite cooking shows that I watch.

So, I found out that with passion everything is easy. With passion, comes the urge to save. So today, I cooked Rasam and Potato Pachadi.

Rasam

Ingredients :

Baba's Rasam Powder
Tomato
Onion
Garlic
Tamarind Juice
Oil
Salt

1. Cut the onion. Clean the garlic as well.

2. Cut the tomatos into small pieces.

3. With the tamarind juice, add few pieces of tomatos and garlic and mash them using your hands.

4. In a pan, add oil. Once it heats up, saute the onion until it turns soft.

5. Add rasam powder. Add the tamarind juice(3).

6. Add the tomato and let it boil for some time. I add salt at this point of time.

This is my version of rasam. There are more ingredients that can be used, daun kari and dried chilli. I could not get it here at Cyberjaya. So I used the items that I have. Taadaa...here is the picture:

I miss my grandmother's rasam. She don't use rasam powder like I do. She will make her own rasam powder using pepper and cumin seeds. I called it grounded pepper and cumin seeds.

Potato Pachadi

Ingredients :

Potato
Nestle Natural Yogurt(substitute for curd)
Green Chilli
Baba's Cumin Powder

1. Boil the potatos and cut into small pieces. Cut the green chilli into small pieces.

2. In a bowl, add yogurt, cumin powder and green chilli.

3. Add potato, mix together and add some salt.

This recipe is from a book called Fast Food that I bought from Little India, Ipoh. This book is from India but there is no author's name.

Chitrapournami 2013:Part 2

Helo peeps,

Chitrapournami at night is much more better than the morning or afternoon because there is no Mr.Sun to burn you down,hahaha...which means less sweat.

But, the crowd will be more because it is after working hours and again because there is no Mr.Sun.

The chariot will move from the Nagarathaar Sri Thandayuthapani Temple around 1900 to 1930 MYT,

There is some history behind the chariot which I don't recall now. Here are some pictures for the feast of your eyes.

This time, there were Mayilattam as well. This time, I got to see the chariot from a closer view and I also got to touch the cow...

Anyone with similar experience?

Shopping

Hello all,

No girls hate shopping. Shopping is therapy for some. Well, I love window shopping. My favourites items to browse will be household appliances, clothes and house decorative items. I also like to go book stores and spend time there. I do this so at least I have an idea about the prices and can come later after my salary or when I need them.

Have anyone read Confessions of A Shopaholics by Sophie Kinsella? Or watched the movie?

Anyone addicted to shopping like Rebecca Bloomwood does?

All of us are busy. As much as online shopping comes handy, sometimes we still need to go directly to the store, hypermarkets or supermarkets to purchase items. Without proper plans, we buy unwanted items. We also tend to just buy thing without comparing the prices and the quality. End of the day, we waste our money and time.

Tips

# Write down list of items to purchase
# Compare prices and quality before buying
# Check expiry dates
# Best to shop during promotion

Above are my own reminders when I go shopping so I thought sharing with you people.

Now, I also would like to share about a  website that all shopaholics and busy working lady going to
love.

Save22 is a page where the provide you with information of latest promotions ans prices. This page does not only provide information about promotion and prices in Malaysia but also in Singapore and Philippines. I think this might come handy when you are travelling there.

You can view promo of items by different categories, restaurants, supermarkets and many more.

They also have map view to guide you to the places.

With this, I will not miss any promotions and regret about it anymore. I will also have some idea of my budget while going shopping.

And I'm off for the weekends.

I am proud to say that I am a customer service representative.

Wishing all a Wonderful Wednesday.

Chitrapournami 2013:Part 1

Chitrapournami is celebrated every year on full moon of the Chittirai month. Mostly this will be around April or May. And this celebration is special for Lord Murugan.

And this year it was celebrated on 25th April 2013. And lazy lazy lazy me, I only have time to write about it now.

At Teluk Intan, Chitrapournami is celebrated at Nagarathaar Sri Thandayuthapani Temple. There is a small temple at the river bank which most of the people and I know as Manal Medu temple, which celebrates this well.

I stay 18km away from Teluk Intan and my parents, brother and I will travel back and forth three times on this particular day.

Why 3 times? My mother need to  fulfill her vow to Lord Murugan by carrying ''paal kudam" or milk pots. We will go early in the morning to avoid crowds.

Then, we will go around afternoon to watch different types of kaavadi and the celebrations.

Celebrations around afternoon:

The collage above is some of the Kaavadis that I captured and below will be the urumi melam in the temple.

Will update above night celebrations soon...:).

The Lazy Me

This post starts with a big sigh...

I have become unproductive for the past hmm 1 year I guess. My room will be in constant mess, which I will be determined to clean on my offdays. My clothes will pile up and I will wash it on my offdays and now cooking has become a hard task. I don't cook at all.

I have become LAZY. OMG!!!

I was not concerned at all about this issue until I got engaged. If this habit continues, how I am going to be a good wife? Then I came up with my own quote to motivate me...

The quote worked for a week...then??? Back to routine. Sleep, work, eat... on offdays, I go out to release tension and my room will be forever in a mess...

I feel so bad and sorry for myself because when I am lazy I do not only abandon the room or things around me, I abandon myself as well...

This offday,

I cleaned my room and washed my piled up clothes. I don't want to do this again and again every offdays...so I want to follow quote above, determined and hopefully I will be stay motivated.

I am confused, am I lazy or tired???

Tired sounds better but I have to know it is not an excuse to be lazy.
