Chitrapournami 2013:Part 2

Helo peeps,

Chitrapournami at night is much more better than the morning or afternoon because there is no Mr.Sun to burn you down,hahaha...which means less sweat.

But, the crowd will be more because it is after working hours and again because there is no Mr.Sun.

The chariot will move from the Nagarathaar Sri Thandayuthapani Temple around 1900 to 1930 MYT,

There is some history behind the chariot which I don't recall now. Here are some pictures for the feast of your eyes.

Shopping

Hello all,

No girls hate shopping. Shopping is therapy for some. Well, I love window shopping. My favourites items to browse will be household appliances, clothes and house decorative items. I also like to go book stores and spend time there. I do this so at least I have an idea about the prices and can come later after my salary or when I need them.

Have anyone read Confessions of A Shopaholics by Sophie Kinsella? Or watched the movie?

Anyone addicted to shopping like Rebecca Bloomwood does?

All of us are busy. As much as online shopping comes handy, sometimes we still need to go directly to the store, hypermarkets or supermarkets to purchase items. Without proper plans, we buy unwanted items. We also tend to just buy thing without comparing the prices and the quality. End of the day, we waste our money and time.

Tips

# Write down list of items to purchase
# Compare prices and quality before buying
# Check expiry dates
# Best to shop during promotion

Above are my own reminders when I go shopping so I thought sharing with you people.

Now, I also would like to share about a  website that all shopaholics and busy working lady going to
love.

Save22 is a page where the provide you with information of latest promotions ans prices. This page does not only provide information about promotion and prices in Malaysia but also in Singapore and Philippines. I think this might come handy when you are travelling there.

You can view promo of items by different categories, restaurants, supermarkets and many more.

They also have map view to guide you to the places.

With this, I will not miss any promotions and regret about it anymore. I will also have some idea of my budget while going shopping.

My World of Work

I have just worked two days now and I am feeling like I worked for a week.

BUT,

I like my job. It is challenging and interesting despite being risky. Every action, every words and every number counts.

But, Monday Blue strikes. I had some follow ups to do and some tough queries. The queries I received on Monday was almost the same, card related.

And Tuesday, all the queries were the same again but this time Internet related.

Wednesday...let's see.

Thursday...let's see.

Friday...let's see.

And I'm off for the weekends.

I am proud to say that I am a customer service representative.

Wishing all a Wonderful Wednesday.

Chitrapournami 2013:Part 1

Chitrapournami is celebrated every year on full moon of the Chittirai month. Mostly this will be around April or May. And this celebration is special for Lord Murugan.

And this year it was celebrated on 25th April 2013. And lazy lazy lazy me, I only have time to write about it now.

At Teluk Intan, Chitrapournami is celebrated at Nagarathaar Sri Thandayuthapani Temple. There is a small temple at the river bank which most of the people and I know as Manal Medu temple, which celebrates this well.

I stay 18km away from Teluk Intan and my parents, brother and I will travel back and forth three times on this particular day.

Why 3 times? My mother need to  fulfill her vow to Lord Murugan by carrying ''paal kudam" or milk pots. We will go early in the morning to avoid crowds.

Then, we will go around afternoon to watch different types of kaavadi and the celebrations.

Celebrations around afternoon:

The collage above is some of the Kaavadis that I captured and below will be the urumi melam in the temple.

Will update above night celebrations soon...:).

The Lazy Me

This post starts with a big sigh...

I have become unproductive for the past hmm 1 year I guess. My room will be in constant mess, which I will be determined to clean on my offdays. My clothes will pile up and I will wash it on my offdays and now cooking has become a hard task. I don't cook at all.

I have become LAZY. OMG!!!

I was not concerned at all about this issue until I got engaged. If this habit continues, how I am going to be a good wife? Then I came up with my own quote to motivate me...

The quote worked for a week...then??? Back to routine. Sleep, work, eat... on offdays, I go out to release tension and my room will be forever in a mess...

I feel so bad and sorry for myself because when I am lazy I do not only abandon the room or things around me, I abandon myself as well...

This offday,

I cleaned my room and washed my piled up clothes. I don't want to do this again and again every offdays...so I want to follow quote above, determined and hopefully I will be stay motivated.

I am confused, am I lazy or tired???

Tired sounds better but I have to know it is not an excuse to be lazy.
